
The Northern Metropolis Development (NMD) is one key element of the Hong Kong 2030+ development strategy to expand the Northern Economic Belt to cover new towns in Yuen Long, Tin Shui Wai and Fanling/ Sheung Shui, various New Development Areas and development nodes. It will enhance the co-operation between Hong Kong and Shenzhen and facilitate our integration into the overall development of our country.
The seminar will have honourable speakers of various professional background (see flyer for details) to introduce overall planning concepts and strategic importance of NMD. Highlights on the policy drivers and details about land use planning, project planning, financing on the projects and the works in progress will be addressed. It will also provide a valuable platform for engineers to share the challenges and explore the opportunities in the delivery of NMD.
