
Integrity of construction companies and engineers underpins successful delivery of works projects. Engineers, who oversee project delivery, have the responsibility to prevent corruption and any other malpractices in construction projects. Professional knowledge aside, it is important for engineers to build up their integrity capacity. The Corruption Prevention Department of the ICAC has recently developed an integrity management system (IMS) for the construction industry, which has become a listing requirement for the Government’s approved contractors, suppliers of materials and specialist contractors since March 2021.
This workshop aims to:
- equip engineering professionals with the knowledge of IMS, thereby enabling them to apply IMS to mitigate corruption risk and enhance project governance in delivering works projects and;
- update participants on the latest integrity requirements for contractors, suppliers of materials and specialist contractors under the Government’s listing regime;
- raise participants’ corruption prevention capacity and awareness.
