HKIE Transactions is the international journal of The Hong Kong Institution of Engineers and has a history of over 20 years. HKIE Transactions features multidisciplinary papers, which are of use and interest to practising engineers and academics alike. It contains state-of-the-art papers, case histories, literature reviews, research papers, technical notes/letters and written discussions. The journal welcomes papers on all aspects of engineering, including but not limited to the following areas:
Good quality practical papers are as welcome as those of an academic nature.
Authors are invited to submit their entire manuscript to https://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/thie. For more information about the journal and guidance on how to submit, please refer to the Instructions for Authors.
The Author will be charged at a rate of HK$500 per 600 words if the paper exceeds the word limit as stipulated in the General Guidelines under the Instructions for Authors. No submission fee, editorial processing charge or article processing charge (APC) will be applied to the Author.
All research articles in this journal have undergone rigorous peer review, based on initial editor screening and anonymous refereeing by at least two anonymous referees.

HKIE Transactions is an Open Access journal which does not charge readers or their institutions for access. The articles published in the HKIE Transactions are available to everyone immediately after publication to enable the exchange of engineering knowledge. Users can read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of articles under the following conditions: attribution, non-commercial use, and no derivative works provided that the author(s) and HKIE Transactions are properly cited.
