Notice of the 47TH Annual
General Meeting (AGM) of Mechanical, Marine, Naval Architecture &
Chemical Division
NOTICE
IS HEREBY GIVEN that the 47th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Mechanical, Marine, Naval
Architecture & Chemical (MC) Division will be held on Thursday, 7 May
2026 at 6:30pm at Hotel
ICON, 17 Science Museum Road, Tsim Sha Tsui East, Kowloon, for the following purposes:
1.
To receive
and confirm the Minutes of the 46th AGM.
2.
To receive
and adopt the Annual Report of the Division for Session 2025/2026.
3.
To receive
and adopt the Financial Statement of the Division for Session 2025/2026.
4.
To elect
the Chairman and Ordinary Members of the Division Committee for Session 2026/2027.
In
case of adjournment of the AGM, members of the Division shall check on the
Institution’s website at www.hkie.org.hk
and the Division’s website at http://mc.hkie.org.hk/
of the revised venue, time and date for the adjourned AGM.

Nominations
for Division Chairman and Ordinary Members
Division
Chairman
The
outgoing Division Committee has decided to nominate Ir Dr CHEUNG Ka Fu for
election as the Chairman for Session 2026/2027.
No
other nomination has been received from members by the nomination deadline.
Ordinary Members
- under Clause 7.2(c) of the Division Rules
The
outgoing Division Committee has decided to opt for the maximum of 14
Ordinary Members, and
four Ordinary
Members in the Committee shall retire by the end of the Session, namely Ir Dr CHEUNG Ka Fu, Ir Ian FUNG Chun Yin, Ir Dicky POON Yat Fai and Ir Dr Catter TO Ching
Nok.
Following
the retirement of the above Ordinary Members, there are four vacancies for the Ordinary
Members.
The outgoing Division Committee has decided to
nominate the following four candidates for Ordinary Members for a three-year
term: Ir Dicky
POON Yat Fai, Ir Dr Catter TO Ching Nok, Ir Simon CHEN Wai Sang and Ir TANG Hon Shing.
No
other nomination has been received from members by the nomination deadline.
Ordinary Members - under Clause 7.2(d) of the
Division Rules (i.e. Ordinary Members of the Committee who are of 40 years
of age or below)
Ir
Karen LEONG Ka Long and Ir Brian YIP Wai Nam shall retire by the end of the
Session. There are two vacancies for the Ordinary Members. The Division
Committee has decided to nominate Ir Brian YIP Wai Nam and Ir Sally KONG
Cheuk Lam for the Ordinary Members for a three-year term.
No
other nomination has been received from members by the nomination deadline.
