of the 47th Annual General Meeting (AGM) OF
ELECTRICAL DIVISION
NOTICE IS HEREBY
GIVEN that the 47th Annual General Meeting of the Electrical Division will
be held on Friday, 8 May 2026 at 6:15pm at Sheraton Hong Kong Hotel &
Towers, 20 Nathan Road, Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon, for the following purposes:
1.
To receive
and confirm the Minutes of the 46th AGM.
2.
To receive
and adopt the Annual Report of the Division for Session 2025/2026.
3.
To receive
and adopt the Financial Statement of the Division for Session 2025/2026.
4.
To elect the Chairman and Ordinary Members of the Division Committee
for Session 2026/2027.
5.
To elect the Council Member (Division) for Sessions 2026/2027 and
2027/2028.
In
case of adjournment of the AGM, members of the Division shall check on the
Institution’s website at http://www.hkie.org.hk
and the Division’s website at http://el.hkie.org.hk
of the revised venue, time and date for the adjourned AGM.

Nominations
for Division Chairman, Ordinary Members and Council Member (Division)
Division Chairman
The outgoing Division Committee has decided to
nominate Ir Ben
LAM Chi Keung for
election as the Chairman for Session 2026/2027.
No
other nomination has been received from members by the nomination deadline.
The
outgoing Division Committee has decided to opt for the maximum of 14 Ordinary Members, and five Ordinary Members in the
Committee shall retire by end of the Session, namely Ir Hugo CHAN Cheong Yue, Ir
CHU Yim Kwong, Ir Ben LAM Chi Keung, Ir Vincent LEUNG Chi To and Ir Stephen
YIP Chi Kin.
Following
the retirement of the above Ordinary Members, there are five vacancies for
the Ordinary Members.
The Division Committee has decided to nominate the
following five candidates for the Ordinary Members for a three-year term: Ir CHU Yim Kwong, Ir Vincent LEUNG Chi To, Ir CHAN Nga Kit, Ir Yani KO
Yik Yan and Ir LEUNG Kai Kong.
No other nomination has been received from
members by the nomination deadline.
Ordinary
Members - under Clause 7.2(d) of the Division Rules (i.e. Ordinary Members
of the Committee who are of 40 years of age or below)
Ir
Yani KO Yik Yan and Ir SUEN Ting Ting
shall retire by the end of the Session. There are two vacancies for the
Ordinary Members. The Division Committee has decided to nominate Ir SUEN
Ting Ting and Ir WONG Chi Kau for the Ordinary Members for a three-year
term.
No other nomination has been received
from members by the nomination deadline.
Council
Member (Division)
The outgoing Division Committee has decided to
nominate Ir Tony YEUNG Kwong Tung for election as the Council Member
(Division) for Sessions 2026/2027 and 2027/2028.
No other nomination has been received from
members by the nomination deadline.
