At the scheduled end of a trainee's training period the company will be sent the HKIE Final Training Report form. This report requires the Engineering Supervisor to state whether the trainee has met all of the Objectives and reached the required standard.

If this final assessment is stated by the Engineering Supervisor as satisfactory then: -
(a)	The state of the trainee's HKIE Membership will be checked to ensure it is 'up-to-date'.
(b)	The registration fee of the training scheme being paid.
(c)	Checks will be made on the following to ensure that they are finally completed:
	1.	The HKIE Formal Training Scheme to Associate Membership Training Log Book (with all Monthly and Quarterly Reports properly endorsed by Tutor and Engineering Supervisor respectively)
	2.	The HKIE CPD Log Book (with all CPD requirements met and endorsed by Engineering Supervisor)
	3.	The HKIE Formal Training Scheme to Associate Membership - Record of Objectives (with all objectives met and endorsed by Engineering Supervisor)

If these checks are satisfactory the Training Certificate will be issued to the trainee. This Certificate completes the requirement of Formal Training Scheme to Associate Membership and no further training documentation is needed when applying for the HKIE Associate Membership.

Final Training Report

This report relates to an individual trainee and is sent to the company on completion of the trainee's formal training period. The report requires the Engineering Supervisor to assess the training under various headings as successfully completed or not. It is then returned to the HKIE and if the trainee is verified as successful a Training Certificate will be prepared.
