Chairman's Message

It is my honour to be elected as the Chairman of Building Division for Session 2008/2009. As in previous Sessions, the Division has a capable, committed and enthusiastic Committee comprising 27 members, including representatives from different sectors, such as consultants, contractors, universities and Government departments. With their diversified expertise, I believe they will assist me to achieve the goals of the Division.

Upholding the mission to advance building engineering in Hong Kong, we plan to launch a series of events, including CPD seminars, technical visits, joint seminars, Annual Seminar and Annual Dinner etc. to update our members on the latest development of the industry. Riding on the past endeavours, we shall continue to organise China delegation visit. We shall also keep collaborating with various Divisions/Committees, professional and academic bodies/institutions in organising joint seminars, conferences relating to building engineering and construction industry in this Session.

It will be an exciting year ahead and I sincerely invite you to join the Division. My fellow Committee members and I look forward to your active participation in our coming events and we would be grateful to receive your comments which will facilitate our improvement.
