Precautionary arrangements at the HKIE Headquarters to prevent Severe Respiratory Disease associated with a Novel Infectious Agent


In view of the latest situation with the Novel Coronavirus Pneumonia, and in accordance with the advice from the Department of Health, the Institution would take the following precautionary arrangements to minimise the risk of spreading Severe Respiratory Disease in the community.

In accordance with the Guidelines on Prevention of Severe Respiratory Disease associated with a Novel Infectious Agent for Participants of Public Functions issued by the Department of Health, anyone who requires quarantine should not attend the public function. All people entering Hong Kong from the Mainland from 0:00 am on 8 February 2020 onwards are required to undergo mandatory quarantine for 14 days upon arrival. If members have respiratory symptoms, wear a surgical mask, avoid going to crowded places and seek medical advice promptly and not to attend the public function.
