Professional Background:

Jinhui Li，Ph. D, professor of Department of Environmental Science and Engineering, Tsinghua University, executive secretary of Basel Convention Coordinating Center for Asia and the Pacific. He was born in Hebei province, China in 1965, acquired MSc and BSc of Environmental Chemistry in Nankai University in 1987 and 1990, and gained PhD in Research Center for Eco-Environmental Sciences, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 1997. Since 1997, Jinhui Li has been working as postdoctoral researcher, associate professor, professor in Department of Environmental Science and Engineering, Tsinghua University, and he teach the courses on Environmental Risk Analysis (Graduate Student), Hazardous waste management (Graduate Student) and Eco-design of E-products and Management of E-wastes (Graduate Student). Since 2004, He’s served as Executive Secretary of Asia-Pacific Regional Center for Hazardous Waste Management Training and Technology Transfer (Basel Convention Regional Center) and Executive Secretary, China National Center for Hazardous Waste Management Training and Technology Transfer. He has been also the member of the Solid Waste sub-group of Environmental Science Association Since 1999. His research area focus on Recycling technology of E-waste and hazardous waste, Policy and management on solid waste and hazardous waste, Disposal and treatment engineering of solid waste and hazardous waste, Soil pollution remediation and Environmental risk assessment.
