Confirmation of Registration & Official Receipt

• Registrant will receive an acknowledgement by email immediately if the online registration process is successfully completed.
• An official receipt will be provided to all registered delegates upon receipt of the payment.
• All payments should be reached the Conference Secretariat within TWO weeks after the Registration Form has been submitted online. The Organiser reserves the right to release and cancel the booking if the appropriate payment is not received on time.

Payment Methods

1. Cheque (for local delegates only)
• Cross Cheque or Bank Draft made payable to "The Hong Kong Institution of Engineers" should be sent to the Conference Secretariat.

2. VISA / MasterCard
• In order to provide secure online transaction, you are required to process a secure password verification when you are making the payment by VISA or MasterCard to prevent any unauthorised use of your credit card.
• 3-D Secure system is a security protocol used by banks to authenticate any online transactions by credit cards. After you enter the details of your credit card in our online payment page, a new window will appear and request your One-Time Password (OTP) for verification. The OTP will be sent by SMS to the mobile phone number which you have registered with your financial institution. Once you enter the OTB, your financial institution will verify your input data to authenticate the transaction and the identity of the cardholder is correct, further relevant transaction will be completed.
• Please make sure that you have registered with Verified by VISA or MasterCard. If you have not registered, you will need to activate this feature for completing the entire payment. After you have register, you can use this security service for all your online transactions.

Letter of Invitation

The Conference Secretariat will send a letter of invitation upon request. The invitation is intended to facilitate participant’s travel and visa arrangement and does not imply the provision of any financial or other support.

Important Notes

• Registrations are subject to acceptance on a first come, first served basis.
• Each registrant should complete a separate registration form.
• The Conference Secretariat will confirm the registration upon receipt of the registration fee.
• All cancellations must be made in writing to the Conference Secretariat. If the Conference Secretariat receives a written cancellation of registration on or before 14 June 2023, a refund will be made but a cancellation charge of 25% of the registration fee paid will be deducted. We regret that no refund will be made for cancellations after the date. In the latter case, the non-attending delegates will receive a Programme & Proceedings.
• Participants and / or their accompanying persons are advised to take out their own insurance policies to cover against various contingencies such as personal accident, personal liability, medical expense, financial loss incurred through disruption to travel arrangements, damage to or loss of property. The Organisers are not responsible for nor to be held liable for any claims whatsoever caused or howsoever arisen.
