Optional Technical / Sightseeing Visit on 6 July 2019

The Conference will offer delegates the opportunity of visiting the following technical site relating to electrical engineering development in Hong Kong. Each technical visit will include a local sightseeing tour and lunch.

Visit A: T-Park#
Approx. duration:     09:30 – 17:00
Early Bird Rate:        HK$400 / US$54#

T-Park is specifically designed to address the waster challenges in Hong Kong.  “T” stands for Transformation, representing the city’s vision to embrace the concept of “waster-to-energy” and to drive the behavior change. Using a proven and reliable “fluidized bed” incineration to treat sewage sludge technology, it significantly reduces waste volume for landfill disposal.  Heat energy generated during the treatment process is converted into electricity to support the entire facility as well as feeding to power grid.

T-Park is the first one in Asia that the single complex is integrated actual plant facilities with educational and leisure features.  It is a self-sufficient facility which combines a variety of advanced technologies into this single complex: sludge incineration, power generation, desalination and wastewater treatment.
