Message from the Guest of Honour

I would like to congratulate the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE) for hosting the International Conference on Electrical Engineering (ICEE) 2015 and to warmly welcome all speakers and delegates to Hong Kong.

The ICEE is an important regional event organised by four engineering institutions in Asia including the HKIE. It provides a forum for electrical engineers to share information, ideas, knowledge and experience related to the development of electrical engineering.

The theme this year is "Sustainable Electrical Engineering to Third Industrial Revolution". Advancement in Electrical Engineering contributes to the building of a balanced, efficient, accessible, multi-modal and sustainable public transport network which can enhance people's quality of life as well as the long-term development of the community. The topics to be covered in this four-day conference include railway transportation system, electric vehicles, magnetic levitation, higher speed & intercity rail. We are privileged to have the Conference held in Hong Kong as it will provide our experts with a remarkable opportunity to share with friends from all over the world our experience and challenges.

I wish all participants a fruitful and informative conference, and all our overseas visitors a wonderful time in Hong Kong.

The theme of the Conference this year is “Sustainable Electrical Engineering to Third Industrial Revolution”. The Conference provides an excellent platform for experts and academics from around the world to exchange ideas and share knowledge and vision in facing these challenges.

On behalf of the HKIE, I would like to express my appreciation to the joint effort of the co-organisers, keynote speakers, presenters and all the participants for making this Conference a fruitful and enjoyable event.
