Mr WANG, Yimin

Yimin Wang is vice chief engineer of State Grid Corporation of China. He is chairman of the Study Committee of Electric Power System Automation, Chinese Society for Electrical Engineering, Vice chairman of The Study Committee of Digital City, the Ministry of Housing & Urban-Rural Development of China and the Senior member of IEEE. He is also Adjunct Professor at Shanghai JiaoTong University and Xi’an Jiaotong University.

Education
He received his BS and Master in Electrical Engineering from Shanghai JiaoTong University in 1982 and 1985.

Research Interests
His main work areas including: Power grid operation and control, Power system automation and communication, Asset management, Smart grid and R&D management, Enterprise bench marking.

Experience
Mr Wang joined Jiangsu Provincial Electric Power Bureau in 1985. From 1998 to 2013, He had worked as chief technology officer of Jiangsu Provincial Electric Power Bureau, Deputy director general of National Electric Power Dispatching & Communication Center, Director general of department of Operations, Director general of Department of Science & Technology(Smart Grid).
