The HKIE accredits all computer science programmes in accordance with the Accreditation Criteria for Computer Science Programmes which intends to meet the standards of the Seoul Accord. Programmes may carry different titles but the same outcomes standards are required to be observed.

Computer Science programmes accredited
by the HKIE shall meet the academic requirements for Member of the
HKIE in the Information Discipline.

This programme was formerly
known as BSc (Hons) Degree in Computer Studies up to Intake year
1999 and accredited by the HKIE under the accreditation criteria
for engineering degree programmes up to Intake year 2001. Starting
from Intake year 2002, this programme is accredited by the HKIE
under the accreditation criteria for computer science programmes.

This programme was evolved from BA (Hons)
Degree in Computing (Full Time and Sandwich) with effect from the
Intake year 2005.

Provisional accreditation to this programme was extended to cover the cohorts of graduates in 2008 and 2009.

This programme was accredited by the
HKIE starting from Intake year 1998. The programme has been phased
out with the last intake in 2004 and was evolved to BSc (Hons) Degree
in Computing (Full Time and Sandwich) with effect from the Intake
year 2005.
