In response to the recent upsurge of public concern on nuclear energy and safety, the Nuclear (NE) Division has prepared a special webpage on "The Accident at Fukushima Dai-Ichi Nuclear Power Plant" at the Division’s website at http://ne.hkie.org.hk. The special webpage contains update news by agencies as well as various status reports, briefings and statement of discussions issued by the Tokyo Electric Power Company and the International Atomic Energy Agency etc on the nuclear accident. The NE Division’s website also covers subjects like nuclear physics, radiation protection, nuclear fusion, nuclear power plant and nuclear engineering applications with an aim to promoting nuclear engineering at large. Members are encouraged to visit the website to keep abreast of the latest nuclear technology and knowledge and also to promote the website to others.
